Rain or shine adobo is considered to be the all-time favorite dish of Filipinos, with its golden brown texture, put some right amount of soy sauce with extra spices and add a little bit of salt (if you like); you will able to fathom why a lot of people are craving for this dish. The unique blend of spices to the meat can capture the taste you are looking for in a food. One taste of adobo will leave you craving for more rice to come; it has its own significant taste which can be sweet, salty and even a little bit spicy. Every household in the Philippines has their own “secret recipe” in making their own adobo; it may be chicken, pork, chicken liver or even small squids, you choose your own main ingredients. But, what makes ADOBO stands out from the other menu? Why is it that even foreigners are obsess when it comes to adobo?
The New Twist.
So how does adobo taste exactly? The answer to that question can be found in the condiments (spices and stuffs) and in the process of how we cook the dish. There are three essential ingredients in making adobo and those are the vinegar, soy sauce and some spices. As we all know by now, wherever you go in the Philippines expect that every folk has their own version of adobo. Pork and chicken adobo is the most favored adobo that people usually prepare; one reason why, is because of their rich savory flavor that they can give to your palate. As time goes by, people create their own recipe, new ingredients are added but the traditional process of cooking is still the same. A lot of adobo chef right now put some pineapple tidbits and small amount of its juice to chicken or pork adobo; imagine how it will taste in your palate, the sweetness of the pineapple with a little bit twist of sourness can do magic in our tongue. Of course, adobo will not be complete without its soup, it has its own special flavor that will leave you crave for more, but just enough to make satisfy with your food.
