The Festival.
You may not believe it but, the number one main food dish of Filipino is now in AMERICA!!! Yes, you read it right. In Chicago there is a festival which is called the “ADOBO FEST.” The festival started last 2008 by a Filipino-American Network; because of the large population of Fil-Am community in America, it is not surprising anymore that our own beloved ADOBO is also the main star on their tabletop. The festival was a total blast last year; thousands of participants who were eager to show off their own version of adobo recipe participated during the said event. The participants were able to show their talent in cooking during the tasting part of the event, and as expected they didn’t disappoint but instead impressed their judges during the said competition. It was a successful event that they had another fest for this year 2013. Last September 19, 2013, Adeline’s Catering once again joined the biggest and most successful Filipino Food Festival in Illinois. They had the adobo taste competition at exactly 11am-5pm at St. Paul Woods in Morton Grove. The contest declared the best adobo dish and the people adobo’s choice. Participants had a lot of fun because of the exciting games, eating contest, live music bands and many more. The lucky contestant who impressed the judges won a gift card worth $25 and a 2013 Adobefest t-shirt.
